{"id":4481,"date":"2019-09-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-09-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/stronglife\/?p=4571"},"modified":"2023-10-11T12:33:27","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T12:33:27","slug":"what-is-carbohydrate-tolerance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stronglifehp.com.au\/wpdemo2\/what-is-carbohydrate-tolerance\/","title":{"rendered":"What is Carbohydrate Tolerance?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What is Carbohydrate Tolerance?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carb Tolerance is basically what happens and what our body does with ingested Carbohydrates.<\/p>\n<p>Eat carbs &gt; turns to sugar molecules &gt; said molecules are used for muscle+liver glycogen OR stored FAT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let&rsquo;s take what happens next step by step<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From my last post on Carbohydrates, we know that our body breaks the macronutrient down in the stomach and small intestines into SIMPLE SUGAR MOLECULES.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When we have increased blood glucose, receptors in the pancreas picks this up.<\/p>\n<p>The pancreas then secretes the hormone INSULIN to get the blood sugar out of the bloodstream<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What insulin does?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Insulin&rsquo;s job is to get you back to a normal level of blood glucose.
